Mutual Aid Structure Fire To Rocky Point

At approximately 2:30 this morning the Sound Beach Fire Department, along with multiple other fire departments, was mutual aided to the Rocky Point Fire Department N.Y. for a commercial structure fire on Main St. Rocky Point. First-arriving units from RPFD found a well-involved fire upon arrival which was made more challenging by the collapse of the roof and a downed power line in front of the building.

On Saturday, May 9th, members of the traveled to the to participate in the annual Chuck Varese Vehicle Extrication Tournament, commonly known as the JOLT (Jaws Of Life Tournament).

Car Accident On Babylon Dr

At approximately 7:05 PM on Tuesday, April 21, the department was activated for a reported heavy rescue motor vehicle accident on Babylon Drive.

Taxpayer Drill At Suffolk Fire Academy

Members of the Sound Beach Fire Department recently took part in our first live fire training of the year at the Suffolk County Fire Academy, training alongside the Miller Place Fire Department.

Brush Fire End Of Port Jefferson Road

Earlier today at approximately 5:50 PM, members responded to a reported brush fire at the end of Port Jefferson Road.
The First Chief arrived on scene and found a brush fire covering an area of approximately 75 feet. On March 30th at approximately 3:30 pm, the department responded to a reported vehicle rollover in front of St Louis De Montfort Church on New York Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders were informed that the vehicle had collided with a pole, resulting in downed wires, and reports indicated the driver was trapped.
