The Sound Beach Fire Department proudly responded to 723 alarms during the 2025 calendar year, continuing our mission to protect life and property within our community.
Of these responses:
471 were EMS-related alarms
252 were fire-related alarms
Our busiest month of the year was December, with 83 total alarms, while September was the slowest month, with 45 alarms.

Busy Weekend

π Busy Weekend for Our Volunteers π This past weekend was another busy one for our members. It began Friday night with firefighters standing by overnight at the firehouse during the height of the storm to ensure there would be no delay in response to any emergencies. Car Struck House
Ex-Chief John Drews III, December 28
On December 28 at 3:20 p.m., volunteer firefighters were dispatched to a report of a car that struck a house. Upon arrival, first responders found that a vehicle had rolled from a neighboring property, traveled down the driveway, crossed the street, passed through a fence, and then came to a stop against the house.
