On Monday August 18th our department along with the Mount Sinai Fire Department and Rocky Point Fire Department Company#1 conducted a joint marine rescue training in the waters off of Cedar Beach. During the drill each boat was given a "victim" location through latitude and longitude and were tasked with navigating to the location and establishing the proper search pattern. Check out some pictures from the day by EMT Patty Blasberg and see the whole album at Sound Beach Fire Pictures If you're interested in becoming a volunteer and training along with us to help serve the community then visit our website at www.soundbeachfd.org and click under member application.
