October is Fire Prevention Month

The Sound Beach Fire Department, along with the Miller Place and Rocky Point Fire Departments, visited local elementary schools to teach students about fire safety at home and at school. During these visits, students attended fire safety presentations and toured the fire trucks and equipment.
The departments also invite the community to their annual fire safety open house and Safe Halloween event on Saturday, October 31, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
