Mutual Aid To Riverhead Fire Department

The Sound Beach Fire Department was mutual aided to the Riverhead FD for a large structure fire at a waste transfer station. Sound Beach was requested for a Rapid Intervention Team. The main purpose of this team is to be on standby in case of firefighter emergency such as an injured or lost firefighter. 5A6-4 and 5A6-32 responded and remained on scene for approx. 5 hours.
