At approximately 7:05 PM on Tuesday, April 21, the department was activated for a reported heavy rescue motor vehicle accident on Babylon Drive.

Upon arrival, first responding units discovered a pickup truck that had driven across a front lawn, struck the front stoop of a residence, and came to rest in the driveway. Crews quickly assessed the scene and provided care to one patient suffering from a head injury, who was transported to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Incidents like this highlight the importance of having trained volunteers ready to respond at a moment’s notice.
