On Friday September 30^th the Sound Beach Fire Department hosted our annual Open House - Fire Prevention.  Every year we invite the community to the firehouse to see our equipment as well as to teach them about fire prevention and what to do if they should have a fire or medical emergency in there house.  This year the Selden Fire Department brought their Fire Prevention Trailer. The Suffolk County Fire Rescue Arson dog was on hand to give demonstrations.  In addition we had a live demonstration of stove fires, and provided free literature to attendees about being prepared for various types of emergencies.
