Four members of the Sound Beach Fire Department recently completed the Intermediate Rope class given by the Suffolk County Fire Academy.  The class teaches various knots, methods of rigging, patient packaging, as well as ascending and descending on a rope.  The class lasted for 6 weeks with a combination of classroom and hands on practical training.
