On Wednesday July 30^th the Sound Beach Fire Department was invited to a live burn which was hosted by Rocky Point Fire Department.  Do to the close proximity of the structure to the surrounding woods our department sent our mini pumper 5A6-5 to help with keeping the woods wet with foam and water to prevent extension of the fire.  In addition to this we were also requested to send a class A pumper (unit 5A6-1) to handle any fire calls in that came in Rocky Point’s district during the burn.
