The Ladies Auxiliary–Service Company
was formed in 1992 by the joining of two organizations; the Ladies
Auxiliary (formed in 1934) and the Service Company (formed in 1958).
Our purpose is to aid the Sound Beach Fire
Department and do all that we can to maintain a friendly spirit between
its members and the community.
In times of major fires or emergencies,
we have been called upon to provide food and drinks for the department
members. We also assist in community functions, such as Fire Prevention
programs, memorial services, fund raisers, etc. We offer two scholarships
to graduating high school seniors who are children/grandchildren of
department members. Other activities may include organizing holiday
parties, adopt-a-family programs for the holidays and making donations to
community outreach programs.
Membership is open to any Sound Beach
community resident, 18 years or older. Please contact one of the officers
