On Sunday November 16, 2003 at 4:30 am the Sound Beach Fire Department was activated for a signal 14 (Vehicle Fire).  First on the scene was Chief Mike Bennett who transmitted a working fire. First due engine 5A6-9 stretched an 1 ¾” line and quickly extinguished the fire.
