On Wednesday November 10, 2004 at 1737 hrs the Sound Beach Fire Department was activated for a signal 14 on New York Av and Birch Av. Upon arrival of 2nd  Asst. Chief Strahm a working fire was transmitted.  First due Engine 5A6-1 streched an 1 ¾ line and a booster reel. The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries. All units were secured at 1815hrs.
