On Saturday July 8, 2005 the Sound Beach Fire Department held its 75^th Anniversary steak night.  The event was run by the department was all food being donated by J & R’s Steakhouse of Rocky Point. (www.jandrssteakhouse.com) The event was attended by 190 people.  The event was originally supposed to be part 2 of a two day celebration with the Parade to be on Friday night.  However due to Tropical storm Cindy we were forced to postpone the parade till Thursday September 1^st.  We would like to thank J & R’s steakhouse as well as everyone who attended the event which made it such a success.
