The
Sound Beach Fire Department held their annual installation and inspection
Dinner on Saturday, February 5, 2005. The purpose of the dinner is to have
the formal swearing in of the department line officers as well as
administrative officers. In addition to this several members are
recognized for there accomplishments and achievements over the past year.
This year was a very special one as we celebrate 75 years of service to
the community of Sound Beach. It is particularly noteworthy that two
members achieved service anniversaries of 65 years and two of 50 years.
Congratulations to Ex-Chief Vincent Battillo, Ex-Chief Robert Hering,
Ex-Chief Lester Taelman and to the family of the late Ex-Chief Frederick
Heemsoth for such a prestigious and honorable life achievement. The Fire
Department and Fire District is proud to have you as members. |
